Welcome to Blossoming Mamas!
Nithya Natrajan is a mother of 3, a board certified Family Medicine physician, and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) with additional clinical experience and training in infertility, gynecologic care, lactation counseling, and breastfeeding medicine. Dr. Natrajan is also a medical content expert and writer for the Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Education (IABLE), is on the inaugural board and currently President of the Center for Fourth Trimester Care, and has previously served as a moderator for the online Dr. MILK forum (a lactation support group for physicians).
Blossoming Mamas was born out of a passion for helping others transition to parenthood over those early months to years with personalized support using evidence-based medicine grounded in lived experience. After dealing with infertility, pregnancy complications, birth trauma, and postpartum complications (including difficulty with lactation), Dr. Natrajan decided to shift her focus to help others as they grow their families. While Dr. Natrajan had different struggles with each child, she and her family had the support and knowledge they needed to get through those difficult early days and she and her husband are grateful for their 3 wonderful little ones.
Dr. Natrajan’s goal with Blossoming Mamas is to work with your family to create a positive pregnancy and postpartum experience as your baby joins your family. One of the most difficult parts of the 4th trimester (the first 3 months after birth) is often getting out of the house for appointments. To help ease your transition, we offer telemedicine visits to assess lactation and coordinate care – physician to physician – with your personal OB and pediatrician. We will also connect you with community resources as needed to ensure you get all the support and assistance you and your little one need.
